The Builders' Conference chooses Switch2IT as reliable technical support company
Switch2IT provides reliable technical support to The Builders’ Conference
The Builders’ Conference is a not-for-profit trade body, set up in 1935, whose main focus is collecting information on construction projects across the UK. In 2015, they researched 11,000 projects worth in excess of £56 billion. This information allows them to provide detailed data and analysis of the construction industry so that their members can develop comprehensive business plans. They also facilitate networking opportunities throughout the year.
Ongoing IT support – Solution Required:
Like many businesses, The Builders’ Conference realised the need to find a reliable IT company they could trust – a technical support provider who would deliver.
As The Builders’ Conference needs to remain compliant with all regulations and industry standards, the project brief is ongoing. They also require regular software updates, computer system backups and IT audits. We tick all these boxes and more via a specially designed IT managed service contract.
A key requirement for this trade association, which collects data relating to thousands of construction projects nationwide, is cyber security and the guarantee of data privacy for its numerous members. It is also paramount that BCLive, the organisation’s real time league of contractors who are winning work in the UK, stays up-to-date and bug-free.
Ongoing IT support – The Result:
The Switch2IT team was an obvious choice for Neil Edwards, Chief Executive of The Builders’ Conference.
Owing to this solid working relationship and Switch2IT’s commitment to excellent customer service and skilled technical support services, The Builders’ Conference has experienced no (or very little) down-time. The association’s members continue to be satisfied with the services provided to them and membership has remained constant in a world of evolving technologies where direct access to information becomes increasingly easy.
Also, as a result of our work on BCLive, in 2012 we were shortlisted for Electronic Communication of the Year at the TAF Awards and the project went on to win a coveted Be2 Media Award that same year. Seven years on, the BCLive real-time league table remains light-years ahead of any equivalent IT solutions. We truly are an award-winning team!
While The Builders’ Conference does not have a large supply chain, they rely on the skills of the Switch2IT team and the first-rate technical support service we provide most of all. For this reason, they continue to extend their contract with us and recommend our services wherever possible.
Protect IT. Grow IT. Switch2IT
When asked for three words to sum up Switch2IT, Neil Edwards of The Builders’ Conference said we are: “reliable, competitive and provide a quality service.”
He continued: “Since Switch2IT started work with us in 2006, The Builders’ Conference has transitioned to an information business. We now monetise the data we hold and lead the industry in the supply of data through BC Live to compete at a national level with the likes of the Office for National Statistics but on a much smaller budget”.
Are you also looking for a reliable IT support provider that offers competitive rates but always maintains exceptional service? Look no further than Switch2IT. What's the future for technology post-Brexit?
We realise there are an influx of “what-now-post-Brexit” articles circulating but there is no getting away from the fact that the decision of that marginal majority to pack their bags and move out of the EU will have (and is already having) a significant impact on UK businesses, especially with regard to data protection. What the Switc...Read More >
